Description :

Portulaca flowers or Office-time Flowers prefer sandy or well-drained soil, but can also tolerate different kinds of soil. It loves the sunlight, as these plants have high heat and drought tolerance, and it seed's and spread itself very well. You would not need to water often, just a light watering will do, as their root zone is very shallow for proper portulaca care. When planting the seeds, there is no need to cover the seed at all, as they need the sun to sprout and grow.

The Office time flowers comes in mixture of beautiful colors like deep lavender, red, pink, orange, yellow, cream, and white, which are truly beautiful for garden's and landscape settings, and can be used to beautify stone walkways as they grow well in the old cracks in the structures where winds have deposited just enough soil to support them.

They can be planted in containers as well as in hanging baskets, as they would grow out and over the edges of the containers, making a grand display of their somewhat moss like foliage with their strikingly vibrant colored blooms. The Flower blooms in annual basis, and they do come back every year without any help. But just be caution though, the area around its containers or underneath its hanging baskets can easily be populated by more portulaca plants the next summer season from the seeds spread by these plants in the previous year.
